Children can discover a great deal through reading fables or folk tales. Your pupils will notice that a number of fables are attributed to Aesop, but that there are also many from Europe, Africa, India, China and Russia; the Guide helps you take the children on a discovery of tales and their many attributes. After a while the children will see the distinction and be able to classify many stories. This is a chance to point out that two people with different answers can both be right!
